Why are we here?

The idea for this blog came about quite accidentally. There was some casual emailing going on. The phrase Sisters Up was used by me, and my friend said, “hey, that’s a good title for a blog.” I thought so too. As I am wont to do, I got excited and began setting up a blog. All the while, in the back of my mind, I had an idea of the type of content I’d like to see here. My friend and I did some brain storming (ouch), and then it was finally decided to just write. Just write and see what YOU respond to.

This isn’t as random as it sounds. It occurred to me that we women have many concerns and issues. Your responses to what’s written here will be the beacon of light through blogosphere darkness. I’m counting on you. AEach article is meant to cause you to question the status quo, reevaluate social trends, and reacquaint yourself with your God given intelligence, which may have been short-circuited by all the noise.

To that end, let me just say this much. Sisters Up is about you and where you are. Can you share knowledge? Can you gain knowledge?  Each of us has our own set of experiences, and each of us has mastered a certain aspect of our lives that we can share with others. There is someone who can benefit from your experiences. Share here.

Just know this. Sisters Up is all about exploring paths to better thinking and doing — in whatever part of our lives we need it. Sisters Up is about sorting through the chaos, changing our course, and holding our heads up. We have it in us to do it. Let’s explore together how to achieve it.
